How to Apply

Requirements

Potential fellows must meet the following criteria by their anticipated start date for consideration:

• US Citizen 

  • This is required to work with SpaceX

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (prior to starting the fellowship)

• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (prior to starting the fellowship)

• Current Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification (prior to starting the fellowship)

• Have completed at least their PGY-1 year in an ACGME accredited procedural program with plans to complete their training and become board certified in their primary specialty 

• Passed USMLE Step 3 and be able to apply for and obtain a full, unlimited medical license

Preferred Qualifications

As this will be a fast-paced fellowship with a lot to accomplish and learn, ideal candidates will have the following characteristics:

• A "mission first" personality.

• Robust interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to various team positions and requirements.

• Strong personal drive, work ethic, and attention to detail.

• Refined independent learning skills.

• A personal statement (max 1000 words)

• 3 letters of recommendation (in PDF format)

  • Must be from professional colleagues. 

  • If you are still in training, one letter must be from your current program director, and the other two letters must be from professional colleagues that are not resident peers.
